**We are gathering by the Carousel on the National Mall, which is a few steps away from the Smithsonian Metro Station, and then relocating to our picnic location.

We encourage everyone to adhere to local jurisdiction/CDC guidelines with respect to mask wearing. However, because not everyone may be fully vaccinated, the following ground rules apply:
Be respectful of others’ space especially when eating or drinking (i.e. no masks required when eating or drinking)
Wear a mask if in close proximity to another person. A mask is not necessary when far away away from others.
Being vaccinated is an added bonus. Depending on your comfort level, you are free to go maskless.
