Join TAP DC online community event on how to report incidents & crimes and to stay safe. With the help of Captain Stacey Flynn and Officer Chen from Montgomery County Police Department (Maryland/DC metro area), we will share topics such as:
- Situational awareness
- Personal safety & self-defense devices
- Stand your ground laws
- How to report (anonymously if preferred)
- How to be a victim advocate
- Statute of limitations to report vs. prosecute a crime
As more public spaces reopen amidst an economic & public health disaster that has wrongfully been blamed on AAPI and other marginalized groups, learn how to advocate and be prepared. We want to create a safe space for people of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who are most vulnerable. Mandarin support and captions will be provided for those that need it.
