Let's take a hike to the summit of old rag mountain in Shenandoah Valley National Park!

This will be a 9 mile hiking loop taking approx. 5 hours. There are some fun rock scrambles there and beautiful fall foliage in October.

Note: Hike start time at 8AM! We expect a fall foliage rush so please arrive early.

Old Rag parking lot at 7:45AM. Hike starts at 8:00AM
Coordinates: 38°34'13"N 78°17'12"W
Parking is free at this parking lot but there is still a $30 park entrance fee/car.

Note: There is little or no cell phone signal at/near Old Rag.

===What to bring===
Wear athletic wear and tennis/hiking shoes
FOOD - Snacks and lunch!
Bring at at least 2 quarts of water (equivalent to 4 bottled waters)
Sunscreen protection
Small backpack to hold your stuff
