Jennifer Lin, President
Jenny is a naval architect for the Navy and has been actively involved with Taiwanese American Professionals – DC since 2008. She originally grew up in New Jersey before attending Virginia Tech and receiving her Bachelor’s in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering as well as her Master’s in Ocean Engineering. In her spare time, Jenny is an avid fencer, cyclist, and foodie. Email Jenny
Steve Hsu, Vice-President
Steve Hsu is a consultant working in the financial services industry after recently earning his MBA from Georgetown University. He has been a part of TAP-DC’s Officer Board since 2010 and has also been engaged in the Taiwanese American community in the past as an undergrad at the University of Maryland’s TASA and the TANG summer program. Outside of work and the Taiwanese community, Steve is a big fan of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, comic books, and breakfast. Email Steve
Gilbert Wang, Treasurer
Gilbert currently works in information technology for AppleTree Institute, an early-education non-profit. He just completed a Public Policy degree from the University of Maryland, and is a lifelong Washingtonian, save for several undergrad years spent in Houston. Outside of work, Gilbert is involved with the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church of Washington, is excited to serve TAP-DC, and loves the Nationals, singing, barbecue, two-stepping, urban education, and being outside. Dan Chang, Professional Chair
Daniel Chang is a defense contractor for the U.S. Navy, working as an operations research analyst. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Daniel spent most of his formative years in Houston, Texas before moving with his family to Washington, D.C., where he has resided ever since. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, hiking, kayaking, and overall being a tourist.

Jasmine Fang, Community Chair
Jasmine is a management and program analyst for the federal government. Prior to coming to DC for work, she attended the University of California – Irvine where she studied economics and public health and was active in the school’s Taiwanese American Organization. Jasmine doesn’t like tennis; she f’in loves it. She also enjoys reading and writing poetry. Email Jasmine
Stephanie Liao, Co-Social Chair
Stephanie currently works as a paralegal at Wiley Rein LLP. She recently returned to the DC area after graduating from New York University where she majored in Political Science and Urban Design & Architecture. While at school, she served as ITASA’s Philanthropy Director and was also active in NYU’s Taiwanese American Student Society. Stephanie is proud to say she has been to all the Disney parks in the world! Email Stephanie
Iris Shaw, Co-Social Chair
Iris serves in the non-profit sector as the Program Director for the Formosa Foundation while also contributing to the Taiwan Daily newspaper as a freelance journalist. Prior to receiving her Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University, she obtained a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from National Taiwan University. Some fun facts about Iris are that she’s a lefty and many people say she looks a lot like belated Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng. Email Iris
Jennifer Yi, Communications Chair
Jen specializes in managing digital marketing and communications for a tech consulting firm. Previously, she studied at Johns Hopkins University where she majored in International Relations and East Asian Studies and minored in Entrepreneurship & Management. She was also active in the school’s TASA, serving as as officer every year and was Co-President her senior year. In her spare time, Jen loves to cook, shop, run, and tell everyone how proud she is to be from New Jersey! Email Jen
